<<The ability of folks on this thread to divert and pervert the conversation away from the fact that their hard earned money is being wasted year after year to finance the debt, is amazing.>>

You whine and cry about the debt. I don't want to pay interest on the debt but I do. If they would let me just pay my share of the debt and knock it off my taxes I'd do it. I paid cash for my house and vehicles and boats, I don't like paying interest. Now is that direct enough on responding to the debt?

If you even made a half-hearted attempt to understand dynamic scoring, people wouldn't assume you are a hypocrite. It's just a liberal trait anymore: "Lie like Clinton".

New terminology not necessary, however, a turd is a turd...

I can not explain discrepancies between CBO accounting and other claims of rising debt made on this thread.
Can you explain it?

No. OTOH, I didn't claim the budget was balanced after a few years of Clinton, either.

Do you know the words "I made a mistake. That was wrong." Try using them when you are wrong.

Now as to the debt: If Congress would not spend the surplus, I would prefer that it be applied to reducing the debt. Many things went into producing the '90s boom, but very likely one of them was reducing the amount the government borrowed in the bond market. That allowed interest rates for commercial debt to fall.

The trick here is the phrase "If Congress would not spend the surplus". They were getting ready to do just that, remember? The only protection against that may be to keep the money out of their hands- -a tax cut.

Then support Republicans who tried to get a balanced budget amendment passed, but failed because of Clinton and his left wing pals inability to place restraints on their spendaholic ways.
