The media has been pronouncing George Bush dead and buried since before he announced he would run for president. Remember when he didn't stand a chance against a "superior" Al Gore? How about when the tax cut was dead and forgotten? Today it's a set of liberal polls taken in the blue zone by Gallup and some networks (nobody works in the blue zone, so there's plenty of poll-answering time) showing that Bush's popularity has sunk to (horror!) 53%. 53%! National Idiot Mathews was creaming his britches the other night! That's as bad as Clinton stood five minutes after he was sworn in, too. That's it, folks. GWB has strayed too far from the CNNBCABCBSNYTIMES world view, and now he has to come back to the mainstream....

But what if this insolent president really doesn't think a bunch of obsolete networks, pollsters, and papers really REFLECT any "mainstream" more than a mile or so from their corporate headquarters? What if he gets re-elected in a landslide against the Democrats's next blind, dead, lesbian, native American with one eye, without EVER kowtowing to the imperial media and their pocket pollsters?

Well, that's simple in the new post-Clinton era. Just follow the legacy of the Teacher and Founder, and move on to the next Big Lie, the next character assassination, the next election fraud. Life as a liberal is nothing if not easy...
