I'm afraid that I think I understand Bluetooth. The trouble is, I still can't understand the hype over a scheme that was originally designed as a "wireless cable replacement" system. Meanwhile, it interferes with 802.11 (wireless LANs) and your microwave oven, and they interfere with it. Plus, you can't use it legally on airplanes, so it had better be able to be switched off.

And, fortunately or unfortunately, the deployment results so far match my low expectations.

But you can get a Bluetooth board for your PC from 3Com, if you can find something Blue for it to talk to.
