Katherine, Not an economist either, but i believe there is some time of multiplier in effect when consumers get their hands on cash rather than when it filters thru the other way. It also benefits tech in the consumer products area, instead of other areas of the economy. I am not saying this alone is a solution but this + 6 rate cuts over 6 months should work.
