<What a bunch of buffoons these analysts truly are...> I disagree. JDSU man not double in the next twelve months. It may drop 50%. There is no sure thing. I hope it does double because I am very long JDSU right now. It is my largest holding. The analyst referred to just upgraded JDSU to strong buy while most anal ists who rated JDSU a strong buy at $100-$150 share are now downgrading. These guys will wait until after JDSU has doubled, tripled or quadrupled and then pile on and do their upgrades. eezie

But you need to remember that JDSU went from $10 to $150 in very short amount of time as well. Wall Street has extreme behavior at both ends.

Anatomy of The Analyst Upgrade In this case CNBC typifies the general regurgitation of Analyst comments by the Wallstreet Media I found it particularly funny (read as "sad") to see the reporting by CNBC of the sole analyst upgrading JDSU on the promise of a 2002 turn around. First as you can see below WIT is a permaBULL on JDSU having consistently and always had an overall BUY rating on JDSU. Did CNBC report on this? Nope. Faber? nope Kernan? Nope. Maria? Nope, Frank? Nope. Faber even says he is on top of this stuff. I went back as far as I could easily do. Look at the Parade of Analyst coming out BUY BUY BUY . . and the favorite of the savvy Analyst the REITERATES. Then wait look its down from the 60s in January, its JUNE now, TIME TO HOLD…sent out a release to public HOLD, everyone it time to HOLD. Join hands, sing, Kumbyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Look at WR Hambrecht, US Bancorp Piper, and CSFB below. Anyone reading them from January would have to feel like an idiot not to buy the stock. These three are literally YELLING – Buy it, Buy IT, BUY IT. Just look. But where were the analysts of the Analyst at CNBC, unfortunately no where to be found. All I saw CNBC do was act like a vase empty canyon, and echo and echo and echo the Analyst Upgrade.
