If this is a repeat of previous trips to the nadir some serious cash can be made in a short period of time with a trip to OSX 125 many beaten up drillers can increase 30% or more.

Even in 1998 OSX recovered from <95 to 120 in the face of extremely poor fundamentals and future earnings growth. OSX rallied with crude dropping from ~$15 to $12 and RIG counts dropping 20% with another 30% to go.

All the work and all the playing around here earned me nothing compared to plays off of the last three trips to OSX 100 area.

One might have to be real selective about where one thinks the horizon for peak earnings has not been detected yet.

Lets see how lucky I feel next week but RIG NE ESV PDE CAM PGO WFT HOFF OSCA seems good to me. If not I guess there is always the next up cycle.

Hi CC! GW is clearly oversold and it may stay that way for a few days. The stock is no longer marginable and some people will have to put more cash in their accounts or sell the stock. This may put more downward pressure on the stock.

The candlestick chart you posted indicated more selling is to come.

The Chaikin Money Flow Indicator (CMF) also shows large money outflows, almost doubling the day before. Some funds may have to liquidate here due to the stock closing under $5. In any event, outflows of this size don't turn on a dime. GW needs a catalyst.
