Re: News Releases - Monday, June 25, 2001 Kimberlite Discovered Midrim-Belleterre Project, Quebec =========================================================================== Aurora Platinum Corp. is pleased to announce that drilling of a pipe-like airborne magnetic anomaly interpreted from the Company's airborne survey over the Midrim -- Belleterre Project has resulted in the discovery of a kimberlite. Drillhole BT-01-44 intersected diatreme facies kimberlite breccia from surface to 85 metres before entering into what has been interpreted as meta-basalt. Once initial laboratory testing of the kimberlite is completed, further holes will be drilled to define the limits of the body. The drill has been moved back to the Midrim copper-nickel-PGM Property to continue defining the limits of the Midrim mineralization. The BT-44 kimberlite is associated with a prominent circular magnetic feature about 200 metres in diameter and interpreted as a pipe-like body plunging to the east. Company personnel are presently interpreting other similar geophysical targets within the Midrim-Belleterre Project Area. Split core of the kimberlite material will be sent for indicator mineral and microdiamond analyses. This is the first kimberlite body discovered in this portion of the Belleterre-Angleirs area. The body intersected in the drillhole is a diatreme facies kimberlite breccia and is xenolith rich. Aurora Platinum Corp. is a well-financed company actively exploring for nickel- copper-platinum-palladium deposits in Ontario and Quebec. The Company has a joint venture with Falconbridge Limited in the Sudbury District and a joint venture with Inco Limited covering a large area in Northern Ontario. Aurora is also aggressively exploring its 100%-owned Lansdowne Property in Northwestern Ontario.
