Thanks on EXDS, Elizabeth....

I had not seen that particular piece, although I have seen others in the same vein that followed their earnings announcement. I find it difficult these days to know what to conclude from analysts' statements. The flavor of the month surely is downgrades and negative interpretations. Here we have a quarterly revenue "miss" of $315M versus $360M. A 12% miss. Does that justify "A dismal quarter"? At $315M per quarter they would be on track to exceed their previous $1.03B annual by 257M, a 25% annual increase. So is it a case of what spin you choose to put on it? EXDS has a powerful customer list at present, but there is a lot of talk about customer defections, largely because of concerns about Exodus' survival prospects. The analysts' comments certainly serve to fuel that negative psychological perception, perhaps to the extent of making it a self-fulfilling prophecy. It seems we are in era where no one has any "visibility" beyond next week, certainly me least of all. It is sure a time to be very cautious. Yet, who knows how we we will be looking back on this gloomy period, as the future unfolds.
