One thing everyone conveniently misses is that some power generators were not getting paid by SCE and PG&E for months. What's the incentive to keep producing power when you are not getting paid? How many months would you work with no promise of being paid? The 2 utes are in debt for billions!!!!!!!!!!!
Davis has still not said how or how much these generators will be paid and some of it is up to the bankruptcy court. Bids were hooked to the least-efficient producer's cost of production, a guarantee of high prices if there ever was one. Don't you wish you could operate under those rules? Everyone gets paid according to the time it takes the least efficient employee to do a task. You'd either not have to work much or make a lot of money if you did. Better than union, but just about the same idea.
