I did not go on those threads to rub it in and never said ITYS. I brought the early experiences as evidence for future happenings, not as a salt in the wounds rubbing exercise. At least, I tried hard not to.

Hi Scared but Hopeful; Some notes on Zeev and the floorless convertibles...

First, there have been a bunch of stocks that Zeev warned on. He wouldn't have enough time to say "I told you so" on all of them, LOL. Zeev's got better stuff to do with his time, mostly making money I think.

Second, after the floorless convertibles exploded, a lot of those stocks literally went to sub pennies. There was no question that Zeev was right, it was undeniable. By comparison, RMBS is quite a healthy little stock. It's still above the IPO price. The Rambus story is nowhere near over. Wait until they announce their first reverse split.

Third, those floorless convertible companies were, on the whole, less significant and complex than Rambus. Rambus peaked out at 14 billion dollars, and in addition there were very important issues associated with far more than just the finances. Rambus is all of a patent, technology and financial nightmare.

Fourth, I have my anonymity. Consequently, I don't have to put up with incensed nut cases calling me up at 3AM and threatening to drive over straight from Georgia and kill me, LOL!!! This thread is a lark for me in a way that it cannot be for someone who is not anonymous.

Fifth, Zeev made an effort at saving people's money by getting them to avoid those convertibles. My feelings on the subject is that if I get someone to sell their RMBS, all I have done is change around who ends up having to eventually eat the loss. Since you're all strangers to me, I don't care if you're the one who loses, or if instead you sell the stock to somebody else who will then become the eventual victim. Consequently, I have not given any great effort to win people over to my side through pleasant persuasion. Instead, my goal has been to say "I told you so", nothing more, nothing less.
