There are a bunch of programs, mostly free, that address this problem.

Naviscope. Ad-subtract. WebWasher. and a few others. Were you aware of them ? I have no idea how well they work. I down-loaded a few program but haven't used them yet.

In 98/99 hedge funds took a beating...Its interesting, in only a few years how things can change.
