Love Canal - poisoning the water we drink and killing children. Supporting the corporate polluter against people and trying to disallow victims from suing after the damage is done by demonizing trial lawyers. This is what the Bush Administration stands for. Because by putting industry lobbyists in charge of regulatory bodies which is what Bush/Cheney are doing across the board. Therefore they minimize or destroy all real enforcement of existing laws which they are also trying to weaken and dismantle. Jeffords is a hero because his move will partially stop this corruption. But Bush/Cheney still can do too much damage even with the Senate against it. And they talk about their concern for health care and the environment. Big pile of BS. Just like their so-called concern for public schools which is really just an attempt to drain money out of public schools into private church schools and give up on inner city and poor rural education. Why? Because the rich don't want to pay for it. And closet racist whites don't want minorities educated who might take away their higher paying jobs someday. What will it lead to? More crime, racial unrest, riots and division between rich and poor, black and white, men and women. Trying to turn the clock back to the 50's before Vietnam, Civil Rights, Womens Right and the Environmental Movements opened everyone's eyes.
