Yes.. certainly a Vampiric economy.

Btw, I would be interested in reading some of that research if you can provide a link. It may have precedence for Japan and China should we see this economic protectionism continue, although the signs are not yet obvious.

I just think it may become inevitable that a rightist regime comes to power in Japan because of the tradition of social compliance to authority.

I certainly don't see a Japanese economic miracle in the offing anytime soon.

CB, in 1939 Germany was in much better financial shape US are today.
