Funny, my initial thoughts was that I was an ISFJ <your exact opposite!!!>

the test says I am a ISFP.

But I am guessing that I am obviously not "extreme" in that category.

they list an ISFJ as a melancholic personality
an ISFP as Sanguine,
which I agree with about me.

Based on this about J or P.....I am more P than J. I say I score a 4 out of 4 on the P points listed, I score a 1.5 on the J points listed and bolded.

Judging and Perceiving
Judging and Perceiving preferences, within the context of personality types, refers to our attitude towards the external world, and how we live our lives on a day-to-day basis. People with the Judging preference want things to be neat, orderly and established. The Perceiving preference wants things to be flexible and spontaneous. Judgers want things settled, Perceivers want thing open-ended.

We are using Judging when we:

Make a list of things to do
Schedule things in advance
Form and express judgments
Bring closure to an issue so that we can move on
We are using Perceiving when we:

Postpone decisions to see what other options are available
Act spontaneously
Decide what to do as we do it, rather than forming a plan ahead of time
Do things at the last minute

We all use both Judging and Perceiving as we live our day-to-day life. Within the context of personality type, the important distinction is which way of life do we lean towards, and are more comfortable with.

Note, I probably score another .5 on the J side with "Make a list of things to do" the problem comes in with the follow through on that list!!!!

Memories of Bourbon St last week...at night we'd walk down the street after dinner..in the morning my oldest and I would jog down the street by daylight...YUCK!!! I explained that life is much like Bourbon Street..at night it all looks great and fun, but in the morning the ones having all the fun look and smell and feel just like the street...SHITTY!
