contrary to popular belief, Kurlak was almost always positive on Intel.

You have got to be kidding. He was the most bearish Intel analyst that I can recall. Actually Merrill was bearish in general...and there were jokes about Merrill's symbol of the bull.
Now, they are the most bearish of the brokerages on technology once again.
That has got to be a good sign, if one is bullish.<g>

The times I was trading it, it was Kurlak (bear) versus Mark Edelstone (bull) was the battle that used to go on.
I believe at one point, he was forced to threw in the towel on his negative rating.

Still the article that he did for realmoney.com....in my last post is worth reading. Gives us some insight into what analysts do and what they should be doing.

Of course, if you referring to the analysts' rating systems for stocks..we know they are usually positive on the companies...because to issue sell ratings was out of the question.
Everyone knew that Accumulate did not necessarily mean one should be buying the stock.<g>
