Mike, now that another of your scoops has been confirmed, what do you make of it? Personally, it looks mostly like Intel/Compaq killing off Alpha, any way you slice it. I just don't see much technology making its way from Alpha into IA-64, except maybe a little software translation stuff to make Itanic look less pathetic on IA-32 code. The next generations of Itanic seem too far along for new blood to do much good. Alpha, we hardly knew ye.
