TE, Anyone who works for any employer, is eligible for the same health benefits of any other employee regardless of race, creed, color, or sexual preference, BUT when the tax money of any governmental body is used to pay for a person's sex change operation, that is going too far. That is an elective procedure, and does not deserve to receive public funds to cover the cost. If such use of public funds is allowed, then they will have to pay for breast augmentation, face lifts, or penis enlargement, if there is any such thing.

Regardless of my opinions that homosexuals are entitled to the same benefits as a heterosexuals, that can not change th fact that any mention of homosexual activity causes my stomach to get nauseous.

Health policies do not normally pay for elective surgeries. I suppose you could argue that a sex-change operation to the tune of $30K should be covered but LASIK or body sculpting should not. All these seem absurd to me, they are personal choices, not necessities. There would be no "homosexual agenda" if schools were out of the public realm, there would simply be choice. These, I believe, are the substance of Snake's displeasure and mine too. Health care and schools should be private choices.

The Boy Scouts can and may allow homosexuals in their leadership. It is their choice and ultimately others to entrust their children to this leadership. It may work out but it will involve individual choice, not the courts and laws. The concept is freedom of association and allows one for instance to post to this thread or not.
