If amperage goes up, it will remove much of the benefit of going to a lower voltage. We just have to wait for final specs. At that speed, it did do better - but it had to run at 1.45v. Coppermines at that voltage used less amperage (significantly). The chip does look like it's about 2/3's of process generation better, enough for Intel to put higher speed Tualatins rather suddenly in the roadmap, and start to back away from P4. P4 may be moving to the sidelines. Dan
