wstera - It is clear now that businesses are batenning down the hatches and preparing for survival. never mind growth these business reports are nothing less than cash conservation plans. This is what happens in a depression not a recession. I said last year that Mr G with his irrational obsession with the NAZ would destroy the economy as a mere by product and that the destruction of the growth part of teh US economy would bring down the World economy and now it is happening and this man is still in his job. Why?? At least Mr Bush won't have to bother himself about a 2nd term. Presidents who are there at the start of depressions don't get remembered very long in history. Best regards, L
