NV,
You were calling for a topping in the energy/oil sector for several weeks if I am not mistaken. With prices of energy commodities trending lower of late, just want to say "good call".
On the bullish stock perspective, I would just like to mention that the weekly compx chart went negative several weeks ago, and doesn't look to be nearly done yet with the downside. Stochastics are about halfway down between overbought and oversold and I often find that some of the bigger parts of up or down moves come on the final push to overbought or oversold.
My own stance at this time (and since the weekly signaled the sell-off) is of extreme caution and I do not expect to become bullish until the weekly compx shows oversold and the daily signals a reversal back to the upside. I am doing nothing for the most part, very light speculation on cellar-dweller basing action charts only. Not planning on doing any more than that until a washout or reversal becomes evident.
If a catalyst is going to trigger a substantial move one way or the other, seems likely tomorrow's Fed move would do it.
Best of luck with your current positions, hope they work out as planned. But if they don't, hope you have a back-door exit plan ready. - gg
Regards,
Eichler
