<<Now we get to slog through 3 + weeks of bad news. Gald I'm short here.>>

Maybe. Some companies will come out saying they're on track, and the market may take off. NASDAQ still deeply oversold. I like your idea about pairing longs and shorts.

BTW, Since the freeways were so packed tonight (due to the rain) I took some time to drive around Santa Clara and North San Jose. I was attempting to determine the company with the most "over-the-top" campus re: architecture/appearance. The 3Com/Palm campus (where I currently work at least for a few more weeks) takes the cake, along with Apple, IMO. What 3Com paid for those 3 rings (a fountain) would have paid 15-20 salaries for a year. Cruised by Novellus, AMAT, KLA-Tencor, JDS-Uniphase, Redback, Foundry, Intel, Genesis among others. KLA-Tencor has a nice place, too. Cisco isn't hard to find. Cisco isn't really a campus, it seems to encompass several city blocks. It's presence is massive! Then I cruised over to McCarthy Ranch, the new work/shopping complex in Milpitas. Cisco seems to has assimilated several buildings over there as well. What companies are your and Gottfried's top five?
