KG4, AMF, et.al.: wondering whether I should average down now at 11ish, or wait for $7 - $8....

Hmmmm.....if I was looking for a long term entry position on this equity then that's what I'd be doing.....looking for an entry point. Once again today, as in the past few trading days, JDSU is in some serious play. And the players are doing their "thang" via the ECN "portals" of REDI, ISLD, ARCA and INCA. The fact that there continues to be a flood of activity via these ECN's, first on the sell side which then flip-flops over to the buy side at the "proper" point, implies the big players don't want to be known. IMHO, of course.

But hell, even such as MWSE, HRZG and NITE (to name but 3) are running and gunning this equity for all their worth. So the bottom line is, to quote Sherlock Holmes, the "game is afoot." Therefore, if I was (and am) looking for a longer term entry I'd continue to sit on the sidelines and wait this period out. You might get it cheaper. You might get it a little more expensive. But given the issues endemic in the industry right now I'd say patience will still allow you to get JDSU somewhere near its bottom.

In the meantime, watch out for the big boys/girls wiggling this equity all about. Like the proverbial mouse and the dancing elephants, you should guard against getting squished. ;-) Now excuse me, speaking of their dance, I see they've decided to move the equity down into the outer edge of my traders buy zone (~$11.40). I've just bought a block north of $11.40.....time to get focused.... ;-)

John~

Consider putting in multiple buy orders below the market. Something like buy 20% of your total at $11.50, $10.50, $9.50, $8.50, and $7.50. You smile if you get filled and smile if you don't. :0) Alas, Wince also. :0(
