I know of the work of both but haven't read their books. Carolan in particular has called some major turns years in advance, but has a tendency to call them the wrong way. (One example: he had a major turn coming in October 1998, but thought it would be a crash; I guess it almost was but for the PPT. -g-). It's best to let the market tell you which way it will come out of his turns (and cycle turns in general). I should probably read that one, though; from what I understand the system has produced some uncanny calls.
