Although it may be your job to slam Barrick, it is not my job to defend them.
I really do not give a damn about the ABX/HM merger.
I getting to the point where I don't give a damn about the gold mining business.

Russ:

Am more inclined to BJ's view of Barrick the miner, where duplication is no longer needed, keep costs low. Don't know the CEO, but think he's between a rock and hard place trying to run a good ship and keeping handle on Mr. Munk. Can't think of slightly less demeaning adjective than sleazy, but do remember seeing a picture of the castle he built on an island somewhere and know that he's gotta get his share out of everything. Have known some old miners who lived well but were true gentlemen. Anyone remember Paddy Harrison? Stephen Roman lived well too and though opulent, he did spend a lotta money on that church. Mr. Munk may have his benefactors as well, but when I saw that picture, I knew who and what was first in his heart.

Regards

Bob
