I think housing prices will fall across the nation. Marginally in most places (around 10-20%) and down to below half in the really hot areas (Sillicon valley and such).

IMHO it is wise to wait until the Fall. But then again what do I know? I don't have a crystal ball.

Stay Flat for 10 years?!

I built a 2752 sq ft home in 1991,Corian,Sub-Zero freezer and separate refrigerator,Hot tub,gazebo,hardwood floors,13,000 sq ft hillside,city lot. Total Cost after landscaping, etc. $255,000. Just accepted offer, after adjustment for carpet and L-P SIDING, $241,100.

Not every home appreciates in value. Land maybe, but house depreciating asset.
