Some of the brokers are now saying the FOMC will cut just 25bp. Their reasoning is that the Fed will be under great pressure not to hike rates even when the economy improves, and they do not want to be forced to keep rates excessively low for an extended period.

If there was a bubble in the Dow, it still hasn't corrected. Taking the INDU back to where it was in December 1998, when the Nasdaq was at 2000, would get us to 8,000. That doesn't seem unlikely to happen before there is a meaningful rally. What do your turnips say?
