I took the data that I could easily dump into Excel and pivot table, I would think that the entire time period before dates I have, that everyone was either buy or strong buy.

Analysts will downgrade from Strong Buy to Buy and that does indeed mean sell most often. But there are plenty of standard Buys which the promote the stock with.

Don't forget the reiterates. They love them reiterates.

The problem for the whole sector is the glut of gray market and used equipment which came about from the Dot Com explosion. They took the venture capital money and bought the build out equipment. They went bust, now old school equipment liquidators are putting it back out there. The money that the Marketing departments spent has no redeemable value. 200+ Marketing people worked for iVillage at one point.

JDSU will survive all this action----but I don't see a turn around for quite some time still. It's still an interesting daytrade, but dead money over the next quarter or two as a position hold.
