I don't think this rally will last much longer. I bailed my calls today, I expected it to perform much stronger than it has.

I don't think POS can rally to 45, but if it does I'm with you and loading up the wagon with puts.

If the market rallies hard after the FOMC rate cut today, then I will start nibbling with some far out puts today.

Oct 25s look nice and cheap right now.

"PC Expo 2001
The desktop PC: Why its death is greatly exaggerated
The big news at PC Expo this week isn't PCs. It's another sign that desktop machines have seen their best years. But, as any middle-ager will tell you, passing
your prime doesn't mean it's time to write your obituary. No, the desktop PC as we know it is still very much alive.

It wrought a revolution. On its way, it became the icon of a new age. Never mind that it was a machine. Its impact was considered so significant that Time
magazine named the personal computer its "Man of the Year."

But fame is fleeting, for man or machine. For the desktop PC, this year will go into the books as its worst ever. It's partly a sign of the economic times. But it also
signals something else: The desktop PC has surely passed its prime."

I'm a little bit stronger in this outlook - IMOP I believe that the desktop PC market is on its last leg...
In fact there may be a backlash against all this computer age, dot com gyration & the market is getting pretty much saturated - those that have em - have em, and
those that don't.. won't....
As the baby boomer generation passes into oblivion most won't even care about computers, they will have their
hands full with health care and the final stages of self actualization unrealized from the 60's and 70's.
That leaves their mindless offspring to pick up the slack, and most of them have em.
I would expect 401K programs to start emptying out and contributions falling thus contracting the money supply for these inane brokers and their bunch of fairy
elves - all this should put a final nail in the coffin for the PC in terms of
strong growth, which spells doom for the DRAM makers. Consolidation will become necessary or some unforseen
PC advancement could come forward to save the day.
Hopefully then MU goes to the dogs - BOW WOW!!!
And believe me I'm not a doomsdayer, heavens gate, end of the world believer.

Put a time frame on this - how about in 5-8 years
