Tench... please dont lower yourself to the AMD baiting supplied by your INTEL FUD friends.... you have a good reputation here that neednt be tarnished... besides.. a little of them goes a long way

We've heard pronouncements of AMD's death for 2 years now.. with every Intel announcement of an agreement or product launch the next death of AMD is about to happen according to that bunch.. it hasnt happenned yet.. and despite the Compaq annoucement being dissapointing.. wont happen to AMD over this.

Besides.. I have it from a good source that this does not necesarily shut the Sledgehammer from being used by Compaq... just not in servers. I will not expand on that til I get permission to use the info that was sent to me via email.

Ten - Yep !!

"With the clear technical superiority of Sledgehammer a given, today's Intel/Compaq deal makes a server agreement between AMD and Dell a slam dunk."
