I don't know where you got your statistics, but I won't trade my freedom for the freedom in ANY of the other countries with ANY score on the so-called "freedom scale." I can name a bunch of reasons why Canada and the UK are unfree relative to the U.S.

None of the statistics are worth a plugged nickle because you can't assure me that they were reported under the same standards and to the same degree of honesty.

Those rapes and murders- -you think they were committed by the US Government? Is that right? If not, then what do they have to do with this?
Are we talking freedom or safety here? Gee, I understand Hitler's Germany had a very low crime rate- -except by the government, of course.
If the answer is that they are indicative of the type of society, then I believe the measures they are using are a bit short. Why is there nothing in there about economic freedom? About a citizens chance of achieving financial independence? That counts for nothing?
Is this that same UN committee that recently kicked the US off? Would you like to list the member nations? Or maybe not; I think it's going to damage your case.
