Speaking of old-timers ........
I worked at Boring several years for Mr. Del B. Was once head of sales for BA, had office next to Bill Allen.
They sent Del ( thats one 'L' ) to Hollywood to sell airplanes-he ended up dating Jean Harlow a hot# actress.of the 30's. Cariied a picture of her in his wallet forever after. Which I know is true as he showed it to me in 1967..
So one never forgets the good times.
Like Qcom, Emc, Yhoo, Msft, Wmt etc which some old timers here will never forget.
The problem we now have, is that the three old gezzers in a basement in New Jersey who control the entire market know that investors will continue to look for those old boomers to make a comeback and they are ready
to skin us when we do.
People are still looking for the next IBM, or the next Dell. Well IBM never was all that good except for a few years when it looked good just by beating the market.
Summary:
Its been costly for me to wait for these stocks to fly again, and my preference is to deal with stocks having far fewer shares in the hands of the institutions to be played with.
