I'd say one would follow the law. What crime(s) were committed and what punishment is correct.

To me following the obvious does not take a Swami. But a vacant liberal mind does not know what is obvious and don't comprehend much in leading or following. They mostly just try to invent a Swami to tell them what they want to hear.
