Dan3, Re : "With PIII 1.4GHZ suddenly added to next year's Intel roadmap, something is clearly wrong with the P4 Foster ramp."

You are just impossible to please. Last week, when the news said that Tualatin would be released only upto 1.26GHz, you concluded that something is wrong with Intels .13 process that it doesn't scale any more than that. Now that you see 1.4GHz on the roadmap, you conclude that something is wrong with Foster.

Atleast you could admit that you were incorrect about Tualatin's scaling.

Maui.

Dan3:

"AMD isn't going to be making a ton of money this quarter, but they shouldn't do too badly. And there are signs that guidance will be OK, too. AMD seems to be moving fairly quickly to take back a moderate amount of mobile market share, and given the frantic scrambling we're seeing from Intel, AMD has been selling some servers, too."

There is an off chance that if AMD makes $75 million in q2, that might represent more than INTC makes in q2...

Saw ad for Sony mobile offered by Future Shop this AM which corroborates the notion that AMD is taking back mobile market share...

Not only the frantic scrambling by INTC in the server area, but also, the reappearance of the INTC boot squad on this thread suggests a need to marshall all forces in attempt to divert attention away from what is likely to be the most dismal quarter in INTC's history!!!
