Thanks for the summary, Gus. I take it that none of the presenters could talk about Q2 this close to the end of the quarter?

Reyes predicted that an OEM agreement with Sun will happen.

LOL Gus, Reyes' prediction begs the question "What will Sun OEM from Brocade?" Maybe some excess inventory of Silkworm 2000s for their loopy T3? Or maybe BRCD is hoping to unload a bunch of their 6400s that they can't sell? Sun is very fond of garage sales. If BRCD thought that the ANCR warrants to Sun were a giveaway, wait until they see what the McNealy clan is willing to fork over for BRCD excess inventory.

If Greg is so confident of his predictions and anecdotal evidence of a 2H upturn, I wonder why he and his Officers have been filing 144s this past May and June? Can't they see what is coming up with any confidence?

Three top Brocade executives are looking to sell a combined 770,000 shares for nearly $38 million: The proposed transactions include a request dated May 22 to sell 300,000 shares valued at about $13.9 million by the family trust of CEO Greg Reyes; a request on May 29 for a proposed sale of 220,000 shares valued at $10.9 million by VP of engineering and cofounder Paul Bonderson and his wife Sandra; and a May 22 request for the proposed sale of 250,000 shares at $13 million by president/COO Michael Byrd and his wife Elizabeth.

...says Brocade. "There's nothing out of the ordinary here. Executives sell stock based on windows of time permitted by law," says a company spokesperson. "We don't have anything to say about it. It's a nonissue (sic)."

Since this June 12 article appeared, the Reyes' have filed to sell another 300,000 shares June 18.

I remember FC-AL being a "non-issue" for them at first, and then later Hard Zoning and Switch Interoperability were also "non-issues." How much longer is Wall Street going to continue to buy the BRCD brand of non-issue clap-trap? As long as the Street continues to swallow it, I suspect.
