Wow. Only 60k in NY and CA? Sounds like a lot, but those are expensive states. Houston is obviously the exception. From what I've been told from friends that are or were in the medical field, they can pick and choose employers AND salary here. Wouldn't want to do their jobs at any price though. Tough work. Especially if you aren't in the IC or ER or something - I wouldn't want to wipe ANYONE's butt but my own! ;)
