Yes, but wouldn't you like the truth told ? <smile>

Top 10% of the CSCO employees.....i thought i should check out this bit of info for truth too before i actually presented my gut feeling on it...

If 10% means they are among the senior/exective management, 10% of the top management layer...well then the salary levels are better than the best in the industry. A component is tied up with their performance at CSCO....it wouldn't be prudent of me to quote figures, but anyone who says executive management remuneration is inadequate, is telling lies IMO.

Now if being in the top 10% means being a top performer in their own category...well then, I just finished checking out and was told that CSCO maintains no list of top 10%...

They update a list of top 5% and bottom 5% performers annually....which is used for performance assessment, salary assessment and stock allocation purposes. All the remaining 90% are clubbed together and there is not way to distinctively class them as top 10% or 15% or 20% performer.

In this case, if mindmeld's friends tell him they rank at top 10%, they are simply *assuming* they are among the top 10%...!

OK. I'm done with the subject. I just wish people post their version of truth responsibly....<smile>
