J Plug Power/GE/DTE -3: DTE To Get 4-State Rights >DTE

Separately, Plug Power agreed to expand the distribution rights of DTE's
Energy Technologies unit to include PEM fuel cell-powered generators for use
in any power application, except for propulsion, within the states of
Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and Indiana.
Edison Development Corp., another DTE unit, plans to buy $5 million in
additional shares of Plug Power common stock at the price set for Plug
Power's public offering.
A DTE spokesman wasn't immediately available to provide the current size of
the company's Plug Power ownership. DTE and Mechanical Technology Inc.
(MKTY) formed Plug Power in 1997 as a joint venture.
