Sand, it all depends on your offer, when trading a stock controlled by computer. The parameters are variable. . [though rarely changed as I have observed]. Some stocks may be set to take any offer within the spread if stock is available. . . [rare]. Others will only sell at the ask. . . [more common]. Still others rely on the tick and the volume/momentum to determine when to accept an offer. This may be when live MMs take over. .. .but since there is ZERO information available on the subject it is impossible to know for sure.

And if you have ever traded a very thinly traded stock, you probably have seen that you can move the B/A with your offers. . . but it is much like trying to chase a beach ball while wading in water up to your neck. It requires incredible patience. And every effort to force your price just pushes it further away.
