i've been sort of thinking lately (probably dreaming) that it might not be a dollar/gold story in the end... rather a anykindofpaper/gold story. certainly that would be a logical variation on historical themes and put to bed the debate between inflation/deflation vs. gold.. since deflation/inflation would in fact be besides the point in a story about the integrity of values.. that also fits well with the supreme market debate of the last number of years regarding value...
