The Brock thing is bigger than this one piece. It's about his fragile psyche. The people at the Spectator didn't care that he was gay, but when he became the toast of conservative circles for his hard hitting pieces and began making the rounds of dinners and conferences, he was met with some strident hostility by some groups and individuals over his sexual orientation. He's more comfortable in liberal circles now, thats all this is about. There might be a revenge factor involved, too.
