This is anyone who tries Total
Recorder:
Many programs use Direct Sound in their programs and this program
will disable that so it is IMPERATIVE to PRINT out the FAQ
page so if your computer hangs up- one could follow
easy directions to change the settings so the driver for Total Recorder can be enabled only when opening the program
(the driver normally starts at bootup and Direct Sound is lost) so for example like me that my email service NEEDS direct sound and hung up the computer, changing the setting (so far) has cured this problem--
changing is 2 fold- one in Settings:Multimedia in Windows and the other in the program itself- both simple--
so now will try somemore--- got CRSB....with 2 cutouts---
again this will give only what the input will offer which
for RA(real audio) is 22,050Hz and 16 bit stereo-- the program can go as high as 48,000 and I forget the bits(16?)
(its running right now)and definitely normal CD quality of 44,000 and 16bits-- you can change the setting to implement the higher settings but the directions say sound will be the same or even less....still playing
