From Briefing re: msft

1:55PM Microsoft (MSFT) 70.20 +0.06: -- Technical -- Ten-day Bollinger bands are narrowing and it appears positioned for a break in the near term. The question is in which direction it will break. Bullish indicators include MSFT's posture over its 10, 20, 50 and 100-day simple moving averages and the upward bias to the longer-term averages. Intermediate term stochastics have turned up which is also bullish. Potential confounding factors include its recent higher and high and lower low in addition to an overbought condition on the very near-term stochastics. Overall picture favors a break higher but a severe adverse reaction to the impending Fed rate cut could impact the near-term outlook. Watch for intermediate term resistance at 73.70 which approximates a recovery to the June 7 high.
