Pejorative opinions. If you don't like it, don't read it. You ain't right because you say so. Every time you cycle a lever action it cocks the hammer back and it must be released. A bolt can be cycled without cocking it more easily and safely too. It is harder to decock a bolt after cycling it I will admit. When you finish working a lever with many people, the finger comes up against the trigger. But for every accidental discharge with a bolt action I have seen a dozen with a lever. If you want to take the unreliable armalite into the jungle with its hi velocity 226 and leave behind the M1 I understand that you have never made an good analysis of weaponry or soldiering. You would lose the war. The Kalashnikov was the superior weapon to the armalite. And it had a superior round. The soldiers loved the M1 in WWII and Korea and Vietnam. Whenever they could get their hands on an AK47 or an M1 they kept it. All they did was swear at the armalite. I won't say however that you were spouting drivel. If you were irked by the exchange then staying out is your best option. So let's go ahead and ignore each other.
