Yeah, poor bastards didn't have much respite between Hitler and Stalin.-ng- At least the US didn't repeat the screwups of reneging on Wilson's 14 points, and I guess everyone had learned from the Treaty of Versailles. I think we have the right to be proud of the Marshall Plan - although I am not a fan of economic planning, I think just leaving the Germans to dig themselves out would have been worse. Maybe someone from Germany has a different perspective.
