Hi tinkershaw; Please explain how is it that a lawyer like you could write: "Too bad Rambus doesn't dish out a little more IR money, or covert propoganda money to provide a counter. I'd be happy to build up a relevant database and ethically, credibly, and honestly discuss these issues." #reply-15998793

Do you think that just maybe, putting so much money into RMBS at $20 per share may have colored your opinion on the subject a bit?

Re: "Other than in your universe Rambus is the sworn enemy much like the "vast right wing conspiracy" was to Hillary and Bill. The only truth is the truth that besmearches Rambus."

Actually, it's the Rambus folks that are famous for screaming "conspiracy", not me.

It's Rambus fans who claim that the memory makers formed a conspiracy to steal Rambus' intellectual property, even though it was done in meetings that Rambus attended and they didn't complain about it at the time, LOL.

Rambus fans believe that the independent benchmarkers accept pay from TeamDDR (or AMD) and consequently belittle Rambus in their tests for pay.

Rambus fans call me a "paided basher". They think I'm paid to post, for God's sake. Just watch what the responses to this post will be. Who is the believer in vast shadowy conspiracies? It's Rambus fans.

It's the Rambus supporters who are saying that a US judge was bought, or was incompetent, and that a jury of 12 voted against Rambus because they were supporting the "home team" (against a heavily accented pile of German nationals, LOL).

It was Rambus supporters who called up the office of a federal judge and were so abusive that he had to disconnect his phone. Did TeamDDR do something like that?

Rambus fanatics have written threatening emails to pretty much every e-zine that has ever published an article about Rambus with other than the Rambus slant. This includes ElectronicNews (#reply-14645083), TheRegister, TheInquirer, and others.

Most of the long term RMBS fans from a year ago are gone now. A few new guys have showed up, but most of them have cleared out. You'll disappear too, probably before the end of the year.

Hi Tinker,
Thanks for your response. I look forward to reading your article. Do dig it up.

I've always believed that the fraud verdict was a much bigger problem for Rambus than losing the IFX case. Even if the Infineon verdict is upheld, without a fraud verdict hanging over their head, Rambus can always claim other patent infringements in other cases. The gist of the matter as I understand it is that Rambus sat in the JEDEC meetings in part with the intent of modifying their patents in such a way to own SDRAM. And while they never "lied" to JEDEC, they were intentionally deceptive. So regardless of whether or not their patents were violated for SDRAM, I don't think the courts will be happy to grant them relief for it. Or am I totally off base here?

With regards to DDR, Rambus points out that they left JEDEC long before the specs were made. But Micron and others claim that DDR is based on SDRAM which Rambus fraudulantly patented. So the issue should be, if we were to exclude all Rambus patents that apply to SDRAM, are there still any Rambus patents left that apply to DDR and how strong are those patents.

I think anyone who can answer these two issues correctly, stands to make a fortune.

all input is welcome,
Sun Tzu
