Dear westi: You know you are exactly right and my bible says that we all like sheep have gone astray but we constantly war against the spirit. We continually want to war against the spirit and God wants to continually war against the flesh.

I can only imagine how putrid the smell in the tabernacle when the sacrifice was being burned. I smelled some cattle burning once in a field , I gagged and heaved it smelled so badly; but the same smell to God when the sacrifice was burned is the sweetest smelling, purest smelling, most divine pristine smell that one can imagine. IT WAS AT THOSE TIMES when the sacrifice was being burned that the necessity of offering incense was not necessary, but at those times that the sacrifice was not being burned it was necessary to offer incense to cover up the stench of our humanity or the stench of our flesh.

But there is one last point in those cattle . It wasnt that the longer the cattle burned the more used I got to the smell but rather the longer they burned the more pure they burned and hotter they burned and finally you could not smell the burning flesh.

So again you are right' you must use discernment when hearing any testimony, there are always people off track and many times what is perceived as an attack by the enemy is God leaving someone on the alter burning a little longer. In Christ ...gregor
