The fate of the Naz 100 is not up to business success or valuation - purely whether the major funds buy or sell the top components. If Vanguard and Fidelity decide to stick with MSFT and the others they will stay around current levels.

If they feel they have to be dumped once and for all, then the Naz could go in the tank badly for a long time.

Everything else I see is background noise. But you are right, small and mid-cap investing has nothing to do with the averages most of the time. That's why I like it.
