I was just in Israel a few weeks ago and found it not at all the (relatively) easy-going place it was prior to the so-called “intifada.” Tourism is beneath the floor and citizens are growing weary of the tension. Sharon is not morphing into Barak, but he senses himself pressed by the present difficulty. Though the current U.S. administration is a far cry from the veritably anti-Israel Clinton administration, Sharon knows it wants him to be careful not to unnecessarily inflame the hostilities. What I want to know is, why can’t Israel just bomb the sons-O'-bachelors?
