Drug Discovery & Development looks at the role of HTS & data mining in the drug discovery process at Glaxo:

Note the mention of Evotec's screening system. Slower than ABSC's, uses less dense plates (how does ABSC do 3800+ wells without getting all sorts of bad data?), but perhaps their resolution is better? Less expensive? Not sure. Note also the general migration toward 1536 well plates, still in its early stages.
