how do you know that abx isn't the smartest miner of all? their stock has performed far better than unhedged stocks over the past 5 years or more and who's to say they don't close out their hedges when gold tanks to $200?

Gold stocks still holding up very well considering that POG has dropped 8 bucks in two days as the dollar index made a new high today.

Nobody knows for sure, but this could well be the final shakeout in gold and the final blowoff in the greenback.
